Team India will not be playing the ICC World Test Championship final to be played at Lord's from June 11-15. The Test series loss to Australia saw them getting eliminated from the tournament.

However, despite the Indian team not playing the final, they will win  1,440,000, which is approximately 12.32 crores for finishing third on the points table.

South Africa topped the WTC 2025 points table with a PCT of 69.44. Australia finished second with a PCT of 67.54 and India third with 50.00 PCT. Back to Back-to-back test series losses to New Zealand and Australia saw them getting far behind in the race to the final of the tournament.

Details Of Cash Rewards For India, Australia, South Africa

Meanwhile, the winner of the WTC final between Australia and South Africa will take home $ 3.6 million, more than double of what New Zealand (2021) and Australia (2023) earned after winning the previous two finals.

The runners-up will win more than what Australia won as champions of the WTC 2023. The runners-up will win around 2.1 million this time. The winners of the previous two editions (New Zealand and Australia) won $1.6 million each, while the losing finalists (India) got $ 800,000.

"The increase in prize money exhibits the ICC’s efforts to prioritise Test cricket as it looks to build on the momentum of the first three cycles of the nine-team competition," the ICC said.

Australia And South Africa's Road To WTC 2025 Final

South Africa won Test series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka by a 2-0 margin at home. The Proteas won 8 out of the 12 Test matches they played while Australia won 13 out of the 19 Test matches including a decisive 3-1 series win against India at home that saw them qualify for the final as the second time pipping India out of the race.
