Pakistan vs Bangladesh: BCB Approves 3-Match T20I Series, Set to Take Place in Lahore

Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2025 T20I series

In a recent development between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the 3-match T20I series is set to begin and conclude in May once the PSL 2025 finishes.

Bangladesh's tour of Pakistan was originally scheduled to begin on May 25, but the India-Pakistan conflict led to the suspension of PSL 2025. Once the ceasefire was announced, the tournament resumed, but now it clashes with the Bangladesh tour.

Due to rising tensions at the border, the BCB had been holding off on making a decision, while the PCB was ready to reschedule the series. Now, the PCB and BCB have reached an agreement, and the 3-match T20I series is set to begin once the Pakistan Super League 2025 concludes.

Lahore will host all the matches

The series, which was initially planned as a 5-match T20I series across 3 stadiums in Pakistan, has now been shortened to 3 matches, all of which will take place in Lahore. Some Bangladesh players had shown hesitation about playing a full 5-match series.

Speaking about the official announcement, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his satisfaction:

“We are grateful to the BCB leadership for their trust and cooperation. This series is another positive step in strengthening cricketing ties between our nations,” he said.

Currently, Bangladesh is on a tour of the UAE, with the series tied 1-1. The series decider is set to take place tomorrow, 21/05/2025, as Bangladesh eyes a series win against the UAE before traveling to Pakistan with momentum for the T20I series.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will start a new stint under Mike Hesson, who was recently appointed as the white-ball coach by the PCB. Hesson will be looking to take this new team to greater heights, starting with the Bangladesh tour. Stay tuned for the official schedule, which will be released in the coming days.
