MS Dhoni, famously known as "Captain Cool," was officially inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame on June 9, Monday.
Along with Dhoni, Matthew Hayden, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori, Hashim Amla, Sarah Taylor and Sana Mir were the other names in the list of latest inductees.
This honour makes MS Dhoni the 11th Indian cricketer, and the ninth Indian male, to be recognized by the ICC for his extraordinary contributions to the sport. Check out full list of all Indians in the ICC Hall of Fame:

- Sunil Gavaskar (Inducted 2009)
Sunil Gavaskar, the original "Little Master," was among the first Indian cricketers to be inducted. Gavaskar was the first player to score 10,000 Test runs. His courage against the world’s fastest bowlers set new benchmarks for Indian batters and inspired an entire generation.
- Bishan Singh Bedi (Inducted 2009)
Legendary left-arm spinner Bishan Singh Bedi joined Gavaskar in the inaugural batch of Indian inductees. He was a part of India’s famous spin quartet during the 1970s.
- Kapil Dev (Inducted 2010)
Kapil Dev, India's greatest all-rounder and the captain, who lifted the 1983 World Cup, was inducted in 2010. His swing bowling and explosive batting gave wings to Indian cricket.
- Anil Kumble (Inducted 2015)
India’s highest wicket-taker in Tests, Anil Kumble, was honoured in 2015. Kumble is the only Indian bowler to take all ten wickets in a Test innings.
- Rahul Dravid (Inducted 2018)
Rahul Dravid, "The Wall" of Indian cricket, entered the ICC Hall of Fame in 2018. He scored over 13,000 Test runs and was the was the backbone of India’s batting for almost 15 years.
- Sachin Tendulkar (Inducted 2019)
Sachin Tendulkar, widely regarded as the greatest batter of all time, was inducted in 2019. With a record 100 international centuries and more than 34,000 runs, the highest by any player, Tendulkar’s career is the stuff of legend.
- Vinoo Mankad (Inducted 2021)
Vinoo Mankad was inducted in 2021. The all-rounder's contributions in the 1940s and 1950s were very important in the rise of Indian cricket.

- Diana Edulji (Inducted 2023)
Diana Edulji was inducted in 2023. Her left-arm spin and leadership helped lay the foundation for women’s cricket in the country.
- Virender Sehwag (Inducted 2023)
Virender Sehwag, the swashbuckling opener, joined Edulji in 2023. Sehwag’s fearless batting revolutionised Indian cricket.
- Neetu David (Inducted 2024)
Neetu David, one of the finest left-arm spinners in women’s cricket, was honoured in 2024. Her wicket-taking ability made her a match-winner for India in both Tests and ODIs.
- MS Dhoni (Inducted 2025)
Dhoni is India’s most successful white-ball captain. He became the latest inductee in 2025. Dhoni is the only skipper to win all three ICC white-ball trophies and is also celebrated as one of the game’s greatest finishers.
