India Women vs Sri Lanka Women Match Preview: Sri Lanka Women's Tri-Nation Series 2025 Final

Indian women's team takes on their Sri Lankan counterparts in the Tri-Series final on May 11 in Colombo. The match starts from 10 AM IST.

India and Sri Lanka women's teams qualified for the final, having finished as the top two teams. South Africa was the third team competing in this tri-series.

India won three out of their four games while Sri Lanka won two. Their only defeat in the series so far was against Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, the Lankan eves won and lost a match each against India.

So far, it has been a complete team performance from the Indian team. Jemimah Rodrigues has scored 201 runs in the series so far. However, the likes of Pratika Rawal, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh have contributed as well. In big finals like these, Harmanpreet Kaur has always elevated her game and she will be one to watch out for in this game.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have been over-dependent on their skipper Chamari Athapaththu. This is very evident from their loss to South Africa in their last match when they were chasing 316 to win. Chamari fell in the 30th over and the team was bowled out in the 43rd over of the innings. The other batters have done well in patches, but the dependence on Chamari was very evident. Once again, she is the key player for the hosts in this final.

The two teams have played 34 matches in ODIs, with India winning 30 matches and Sri Lanka just three. One of those wins came in the tri-series when Sri Lanka won by three wickets chasing 276 runs to win.
