It is a homecoming for Dwayne Bravo as he has been appointed as the head coach of the Trinbago Knight Riders ahead of CPL 2025. He replaces Phil Simmons who has joined the Bangladesh national team as the head coach.
Bravo is a former Trinbago Knight Riders legend having played 107 CPL games and taken 29 wickets at an economy of 8.74 between 2013-2024. He played for TKR in nine out of the 11 seasons and also won the CPL title with the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2021.

TKR Close To My Heart: Dwayne Bravo
Dwayne Bravo joined the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2025 as the mentor of the side. He was appointed as the head coach of the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20 as the head coach. Now, he joins his former CPL franchise as the head coach. Thus Dwayne Bravo is very much the man for all seasons for the Knight Riders family as of now.
"It's an honor to be given the opportunity to be Head Coach of TKR, a team that's very close to my heart. I would like to personally thank Coach Phil Simmons for his time and commitment over the last few years, and now I look forward to this new challenge for me and my staff" he said in a social media post.
Before taking over the coaching role in franchise cricket, Bravo also served as the mentor of the Afghanistan cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2024 and helped them qualify for the knockouts for the very first time in any major ICC tournament.
